 It is Possible but very very competitive.

Can I bring my dog /cat with me ?

You can bring family pets, but they will have to be quarantined. It is a   long separation for an animal used to living in a family. The cost is  considerable for flying the animal over and for quarantine. You might want  to think about finding the pet a good home in your present country.

Is there anything that I am forbidden to bring ?      Â
There is a list of items you are forbidden to bring into Australia. It includes such things as weapons, illegal drugs, contraband and illegal furs  and ivory. Check with the Australian Embassy or Consulate in your  present overseas country. Be very careful not to bring in any illegal  objects or substances. The penalties are severe: people go to prison.

some of these things are very suprising to me, but i can understand it. i dont think it takes two years here in the United States to get a citizenship. I would be intrested to find out what some of the illgal furs and things like that are, becaue we dont have any of that here in the U.S.

Illegal furs would be like cat and dog pelts. And we do have things like that in the US.
